FALL SOFTBALL<\/strong> The church co-ed team will play Monday evening at 6:30 and the men\u2019s team will play Tuesday evening at 8:30.<\/p>\n

COUCH POTATO LUNCH AND SILENT AUCTION FUNDRAISER<\/strong> Be sure to join us for lunch today. \u00a0On the menu are large baked potatoes with all the fixings, salad, drink, and dessert…all for a suggested donation of $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. \u00a0There are also some great silent auction items for you to check out. \u00a0All the proceeds from the lunch and the silent auction will go toward the purchase of furniture (couch, chairs, etc.) for the narthex.<\/p>\n

YOU ARE INVITED<\/strong> to a baby shower for Amber H. this afternoon at 3:00. \u00a0Amber is expecting a baby girl. \u00a0The shower is hosted by her mother, Kathy M., and her grandmother, Ruby S..<\/p>\n

CONSTITUTION CHANGES<\/strong> Because of a lack of a quorum at the Voters\u2019 Meeting to change the constitution, a special voters\u2019 meeting has been called for today after each service to vote on the proposed constitutional changes. \u00a0The changes are posted on the table as you enter the sanctuary.<\/p>\n

JR CONFIRMATION AND WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY<\/strong> will resume Wednesday, September 14, at 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

MID-WEEK SCHOOL<\/strong> Plans are being made to have a Wednesday Mid-Week School for all ages of children. \u00a0They will meet the same time as the Confirmation class. \u00a0The lessons will coordinate with the Sunday School lessons and will include an activity. \u00a0There is a sign up sheet in the Narthex if you are interested in your child\/children attending.<\/p>\n

SPECIAL EVENTS ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11<\/strong> Be sure and note the special events scheduled for Sunday, September 11.
\n+ \u00a0ONE WORSHIP SERVICE<\/strong> We are planning just one fellowship wor-\t\tship service on this Sunday at 10:45 am. \u00a0This will give everyone in the \t\tcongregation a chance to meet each other. \u00a0Since the Sunday School \t\t\tRally Day theme is \u201cRoundup\u201d, everyone is invited to wear casual \t\t\t\tclothes. \u00a0We will be asking everyone to wear a name tag that Sunday.
\n+ \u00a0SUNDAY SCHOOL RALLY DAY<\/strong> The Sunday School will have their \t\tRally Day this Sunday. \u00a0It\u2019s when everyone moves up a class and the Fall \t\tprogram begins. \u00a0There will also be rides, games, and all kinds of activi-\t\tties for the children after the noon meal.
\n+ \u00a0FRIED CHICKEN DINNER<\/strong> A congregation fried chicken dinner \t\t\twill be served after the worship service for all to enjoy.\tMark your calendars now and join in on this special Fellowship Sunday. \u00a0More \tinformation will be in the Sept. issue of the Shepherd\u2019s Staff.<\/p>\n

CROSSLINES CANNED GOODS<\/strong> Please remember to bring non-perishable items to donate to Crosslines next Sunday or anytime. \u00a0You can place your donation in the round container in the narthex, or in the shopping basket in the entry way to the fellowship hall. \u00a0Any donation is greatly needed and very appreciated.<\/p>\n

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS<\/strong> are available in the narthex after each service. \u00a0You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.<\/p>\n

ASSISTIVE LISTENING<\/strong> If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. \u00a0They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.<\/p>\n

PRAYER BEARS<\/strong> are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God\u2019s love, comfort, and peace. \u00a0We have had reports and words of thanks from folks being blessed by this outreach ministry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
