FALL SOFTBALL<\/strong> The church co-ed team will play Monday evening at 6:30 and the men\u2019s team will play at 8:30.<\/p>\n

OVER-50 GOOD SHEPHERDS<\/strong> will meet for fellowship, food and games this Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.<\/p>\n

NARTHEX FURNITURE<\/strong> Would you like to help with the purchase of some seating for the narthex? \u00a0Tentative plans are to have a sofa, loveseat, ottoman and side chairs. \u00a0The LWML<\/a> has a committee that is checking to find the best product for the best price. \u00a0If you would like to help with this project, please make note that you want your donation to go towards narthex furniture.<\/p>\n

CONSTITUTION CHANGES<\/strong> Because of a lack of a quorum at the Voters\u2019 Meeting last Sunday to change the constitution, a special voters meeting has been called for Sunday, August 28, after each service to vote on the proposed constitutional changes. \u00a0The changes are posted on the table as you enter the sanctuary.<\/p>\n

THRIVENT MATCHING FUNDS<\/strong> If you would like to donate money for tornado relief to either Immanuel<\/a> or Peace Lutheran<\/a> in Joplin, Thrivent will match $1.00 for each $3.00 raised. \u00a0You can give your donation through Good Shepherd, and we will see that it goes where you have designated it.<\/p>\n

ASSISTIVE LISTENING<\/strong> If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. \u00a0They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.<\/p>\n

TAPES OF THE SERVICE<\/strong> Audio tapes of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday. \u00a0They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex. \u00a0Tapes of the previous Sunday are also available.<\/p>\n

PRAYER BEARS<\/strong> are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God\u2019s love, comfort, and peace. \u00a0We have had reports and words of thanks from folks being blessed by this outreach ministry.<\/p>\n

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS<\/strong> are available in the narthex after each service. \u00a0You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
