MIDWEEK LENTEN SERVICES<\/strong> We are having midweek Lenten services on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 during the Lenten season. \u00a0Portions of the Passion story of Jesus will be read during each service. \u00a0Please join us this Lenten season.<\/p>\n

EASTER BREAKFAST SIGN UP<\/strong> There is a sign up sheet in the narthex for everyone to sign up to bring food or products for the annual breakfast Easter morning. \u00a0We served over 250 folks last year. \u00a0What can you bring?<\/p>\n

CARTHAGE RELAY FOR LIFE PAJAMA PARTY<\/strong> All ladies (10-110) are invited to a Pajama Party to benefit Carthage Relay for Life. \u00a0You\u2019re welcome to wear your PJ\u2019s and join in the fun, Friday, April 1, from 7:00-10:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall here at Good Shepherd. \u00a0 \u00a0Activities include contests, prizes, food, and a live auction. \u00a0Tickets are $10.00 each (suggested minimum donation).<\/p>\n

JOHN RUTTER\u2019S REQUIEM<\/strong> will be presented by the Missouri Southern State University Music Department at the First United Methodist Church, Joplin, MO, on Friday, April 8, at 7:30 pm. \u00a0Members Michael G. and Mary S. are part of the Concert Chorale.<\/p>\n

PORTALS OF PRAYER<\/strong> The April-June Portals of Prayer are available to you on the table in the narthex.LET\u2019S PLAY BALL \u00a0It will soon be time for spring softball. \u00a0If you are interested in playing on either the men\u2019s or the co-ed church team (guys you\u2019re welcome to play on both), please write your name and phone number on the sign up sheet in the narthex. \u00a0Questions? \u00a0Talk with Bradley M.<\/p>\n

PRAYER BEARS<\/strong> are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God\u2019s love, comfort, and peace. \u00a0We have had reports and words of thanks from folks being blessed by this outreach ministry.<\/p>\n

TAPES OF THE SERVICE<\/strong> Audio tapes of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday. \u00a0They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex. \u00a0Tapes of the previous Sunday are also available.<\/p>\n

ASSISTIVE LISTENING<\/strong> If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. \u00a0They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.<\/p>\n

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS<\/strong> are available in the narthex after each service. \u00a0You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
