N.<\/strong>, 76, was received into the loving arms of her Savior on Saturday, Jan. 29, at her home. \u00a0A funeral service was held on Thursday, Feb. 3 with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.<\/div>\n<div><strong>MELBA ARLENE D.<\/strong>, 89, was received into the arms of her \tLord and Savior on Sunday, January 30, at a health care facility in Joplin.<\/div>\n<div>A funeral service was held on Friday, Jan. 4, with burial at Paradise \tCemetery.<\/div>\n<div><strong>JEAN HARLOW D.<\/strong>, 73, passed away Thursday afternoon, Feb. \t3, \tat Carthage Health and Rehab. \u00a0Funeral service will be Monday evening \tat 6:00 at Mason-Woodard Mortuary, Joplin. \u00a0Visitation will follow<\/div>\n<div>the service.<\/div>\n<div>We thank God for these, our sisters in Christ, and rejoice in the know-\tledge that they are safe in the arms of Jesus, their Lord and Savior. \u00a0Please \tkeep these families in your prayers.<\/div>\n<div><strong>BAPTISM TODAY<\/strong> We rejoice with Brandon &amp; Tara W. whose daughter, Zoe Ashlynn, born Dec. 29, 2010, will be baptized today during the late service. \u00a0Her sponsors are Derek &amp; Kacy W., and Meghan W. \u00a0Her maternal grandparents are Tom &amp; Janet W. and her paternal grandmother is Laura S. \u00a0Her great grandparents are Eddie &amp; Lawanda L. and Kes &amp; Betty K. \u00a0May the Lord bless and keep Zoe and her family in His loving care.<\/div>\n<div><strong>SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY<\/strong> A big thank you to all who brought food today for Souper Bowl Sunday. \u00a0Your generosity is greatly appreciated.<\/div>\n<div><strong>LADIES NIGHT OUT<\/strong> It\u2019s back and it\u2019s happening February 20. \u00a0The men serve and clean up&#8230;the ladies sit back, relax and enjoy a wonderful meal. \u00a0Entertainment begins at 5:00 pm. \u00a0Babysitting, plus a meal will be provided for the kids. \u00a0Guys, please bring a dessert to help stock the fabulous \u201cdessert buffet\u201d. \u00a0(Ladies, you might have to help with this.) \u00a0Please sign up on the sheet in the narthex, so we will know how many to prepare for. \u00a0Call Lora Wacker with any questions.<\/div>\n<div><strong>2010 OFFERING STATEMENTS<\/strong> Please pick up your 2010 statements. \u00a0They are on the table in the narthex.<\/div>\n<div><strong>FLOWER CHART, 2011<\/strong> If you would like to place flowers at the altar for a special occasion or in memory of someone, please sign the flower chart found in the narthex. \u00a0Simply write your name, phone number, and occasion with the pen provided.<\/div>\n<div><strong>ANNUAL RUMMAGE SALE<\/strong> Go through your closets, attics, garages, storage buildings, etc. and pull items to donate to the Youth Group\u2019s Annual Rummage Sale to be held February 19.<\/div>\n<div><strong>PRAYER BEARS<\/strong> are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God\u2019s love, comfort, and peace.<\/div>\n<div><strong>TAPES OF THE SERVICE<\/strong> Audio tapes of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday. \u00a0They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex. \u00a0Tapes of the previous Sunday are also available.<\/div>\n<div><strong>ASSISTIVE LISTENING<\/strong> If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. \u00a0They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.<\/div>\n<div><strong>BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS<\/strong> are available in the narthex after each service. \u00a0You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.<\/div>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>REMEMBER IN PRAYER Joyce D., a former member who is gravely ill; Dorothy F., in extended care in Springfield; MARILYN R.
