REMEMBER IN PRAYER<\/strong> Walli H. & family, at the death of Walli\u2019s father; Melba D., in rehab. at Spring River Christian Village, Joplin; Marilyn N., at home; Jeanie D., at Carthage Health and Rehab.<\/p>\n

\u201cBOB\u201d FRANK W.<\/strong>, husband of Maxine W., father of Bob & Corinne W., and grandfather of Hailey and Blaine, was laid to rest Tuesday, January 11, at Miller, MO.\u00a0 Bob passed away and was received into the arms of his Savior on January 7, 2011.<\/p>\n

THE ELDERS<\/strong> will meet this Monday evening at 7:00 pm.\u00a0 Earl K. will hold the position of head elder for 2011.<\/p>\n

CHURCH TRUSTEES\u2019 MEETING<\/strong> The church trustees will meet at 6:00 pm next Sunday evening before the Voters\u2019 Meeting.<\/p>\n

VOTERS\u2019 ASSEMBLY<\/strong> will meet Sunday evening, Jan. 23, at 7:00.<\/p>\n

OFFERING ENVELOPES<\/strong> Your box of offering envelopes for 2011 are located on the table in the narthex.\u00a0 If you do not find a box with your name on it, and would like to use offering envelopes, please let the office know.\u00a0 If you prefer not to use them and see your name, simply write NO on the label.\u00a0 Please do not use your 2010 envelopes in 2011.\u00a0 This will help as the offerings are recorded.<\/p>\n

2010 OFFERING STATEMENTS<\/strong> Please pick up your 2010 statements.\u00a0 They are on the table in the narthex.<\/p>\n

LUTHERAN WITNESS SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL<\/strong> The new subscription year for The Lutheran Witness begins in April.\u00a0 If you would like to receive or renew a subscription for 2011, please use the sign up sheet in the narthex.\u00a0 The annual cost is $15.00.\u00a0 You may put the amount in the offering plate marked Lutheran Witness, or mail a check to the church office.<\/p>\n

POINSETTIAS<\/strong> Anyone who would like to take a poinsettia home is welcome to do so.<\/p>\n

FLOWER CHART, 2011<\/strong> If you would like to place flowers at the altar for a special occasion or in memory of someone, please sign the flower chart found in the narthex.\u00a0 Simply write your name, phone number, and occasion with the pen provided.<\/p>\n

ANNUAL RUMMAGE SALE<\/strong> Start going through closets, attics, garages, storage buildings, etc. and pull items to donate to the Youth Group\u2019s Annual Rummage Sale to be held in February.<\/p>\n

PRAYER BEARS<\/strong> are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God\u2019s love, comfort, and peace.<\/p>\n

TAPES OF THE SERVICE<\/strong> Audio tapes of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday.\u00a0 They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex.\u00a0 Tapes of the previous Sunday are also available.<\/p>\n

ASSISTIVE LISTENING<\/strong> If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.\u00a0 They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.<\/p>\n

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS<\/strong> are available in the narthex after each service.\u00a0 You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
