This includes service duty lists for 2011 and articles and schedules for events coming up.\u00a0 Thank you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NEW YEAR\u2019S EVE WORSHIP<\/strong>\u00a0 Join us Friday evening at 7:00 for our New Year\u2019s Eve Worship Service with Holy Communion.\u00a0 What a wonderful way to reflect on the past year and welcome in the new year!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>NO WEDNESDAY CLASSES<\/strong> this week.\u00a0 Classes will resume at the regular times on January 5, 2011.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE THURSDAY AM BIBLE STUDY<\/strong> will not meet this week.\u00a0 We\u2019ll meet again next year on Thursday, Jan. 6.\u00a0 Come join us, we are studying the New Testament Book of John.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FLOWER CHART, 2011<\/strong>\u00a0 If you would like to place flowers at the altar for a special occasion or in memory of someone, please sign the flower chart found on the wall in the hall between the restrooms.\u00a0 Simply write your name, phone number, and occasion with the pen provided.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KID KITS<\/strong>\u00a0 In the narthex are a number of bags containing crayons, coloring books, picture books and other items of interest for young children.\u00a0 You are welcome to use them for your little ones.\u00a0 Please return the \u201ckid kit\u201d after the service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRAYER BEARS<\/strong> are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God\u2019s love, comfort, and peace.\u00a0 We have reports that they are helping those who have received them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>BLOOD PRESSURE<\/strong>\u00a0 The opportunity to have your blood pressure taken and recorded after each service is available in the nurse\u2019s office located off the narthex.\u00a0 You will be given a card to carry with you to record your readings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TAPES AND CD\u2019S OF THE SERVICE<\/strong>\u00a0 Audio tapes and CDs of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday.\u00a0 They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex.\u00a0 The previous Sunday\u2019s are also available.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ASSISTIVE LISTENING<\/strong>\u00a0 If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.\u00a0 They work like a transistor radio and you control the volume.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>REMEMBER IN PRAYER\u00a0 Archie B., recovering from pneumonia; Melba D., in rehab. at Spring River Christian Village, Joplin; Jean S., in St. John\u2019s Hospital; Bernice R., recovering from surgery; Marilyn N., at home; Jeanie D., undergoing treatment for cancer.
