Marilyn N., at home; Kathy P., recovering at home from surgery; Karen P., having treatments on her spine; Jeanie D., Jean S., undergoing treatment for cancer; Jeanann G., Ann L., Corky\u00a0M., Chuck P. &amp; Janet S., receiving treatment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE FALL PARTY, HAYRIDE and HOBO SUPPER<\/strong> is today.\u00a0 We will start making the stew around 5:00 pm.\u00a0 Bring some of your own precooked stew, cooked veggies or meat to toss in the big black pot on the open fire.\u00a0 The hayride will begin at 5:30 pm and will be held at Jack H.\u2019s home, 2 miles west of the church on Hwy 96, house is on the right.\u00a0 (Balloons on the mailbox will mark his lane.)\u00a0 After we\u2019ve enjoyed the hayride, we\u2019ll head back to the church to partake of the now simmering hobo stew, and the children will begin to enjoy their Fall Party.\u00a0 They are welcome to dress up in a friendly costume if they want.\u00a0 There will be games to play and special treats handed out.\u00a0 Rumor has it that there will be pumpkin bowling???<\/p>\n<p><strong>CHURCH WORK DAY YESTERDAY<\/strong>\u00a0 Did you notice the new landscaping as you pulled into church this morning?\u00a0 Looks wonderful!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>NO BAND PRACTICE THIS WEEK\u00a0<\/strong> Practice will resume on Wednesday,\u00a0 Nov. 10, at 5:30 pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LWML FALL RALLY<\/strong> is this Saturday, Nov. 6, at Zion Lutheran Church, Prairie City (Rockville).\u00a0 The rally begins at 10:00 am with registration at 9:30.\u00a0 Please contact Corinne W.\u00a0if you plan to attend.\u00a0 This is always a wonderful event where fellow Sisters in Christ come together to see about the business of the LWML SW Zone, to worship our Lord, and to enjoy fellowship with each other.\u00a0 Transportation plans will be determined by how many plan to attend.\u00a0 All ladies of the congregation are invited.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD<\/strong>\u00a0 The LWML will be sponsoring this very worthwhile project this year.\u00a0 You can help in three ways: fill and return your own shoe box, make a donation and the LWML will shop for you, or donate the $7.00 shipping fee required for each shoe box.\u00a0 Boxes need to be completed by Nov. 14.\u00a0 Please contact Lora W. with any questions.\u00a0 The Operation Christmas Child Mission: To demonstrate God&#8217;s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ADDRESS INFORMATION<\/strong>\u00a0 Dorothy F. is in Springfield for rehab.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>ALTAR FLOWERS<\/strong>\u00a0 Almost all of December is open if you would like to place flowers to honor a memory or in celebration of an event.\u00a0 Please select a date &amp; note your name and phone number on the Flower Chart in the narthex.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRAYER BEARS<\/strong> are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God\u2019s love, comfort, and peace.\u00a0 We have reports that they are helping those who have received them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>TAPES AND CD\u2019S OF THE SERVICE<\/strong>\u00a0 Audio tapes and CDs of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday.\u00a0 They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex.\u00a0 The previous Sunday\u2019s are also available.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BLOOD PRESSURE<\/strong>\u00a0 The opportunity to have your blood pressure taken and recorded after each service is available in the nurse\u2019s office located off the narthex.\u00a0 You will be given a card to carry with you to record your readings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ASSISTIVE LISTENING<\/strong>\u00a0 If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.\u00a0 They work like a transistor radio and you control the volume.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>REMEMBER IN PRAYER\u00a0 Edna C., at St. Luke\u2019s, Carthage, recovering from a broken hip;
