ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION<\/strong> You are invited to join Kes & Betty K. as they celebrate their 58 years of marriage today. \u00a0After a renewal of their wedding vows in the church sanctuary, you are invited to an open house reception in the Fellowship Hall from 2:30-4:30 pm., hosted by their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. \u00a0No gifts, please.<\/div>\n
FELLOWSHIP COOKOUT AND SUNDAY SCHOOL KICK-OFF<\/strong> Next Sunday the Sunday School kicks off their summer program with some special events for the children. \u00a0Then, at noon, we will have a fellowship cookout for everyone. \u00a0The grill will be sizzling with hamburgers, hot dogs and bratwursts. \u00a0The drinks will be furnished. \u00a0All you will need to bring is a side dish. \u00a0You are also welcome to wear your casual clothes to worship next Sunday. \u00a0See you there.<\/div>\n
PICTORIAL DIRECTORY SIGN UP<\/strong> Tuesday, June 8th, and Sunday, June 13th, are the days set for taking pictures for the church directory. \u00a0Sign up sheets are in the narthex next to the nurse\u2019s office. \u00a0Please take note of the different times on each sheet. \u00a0The photos will be taken in the Conference Room off the narthex by Rick C.<\/div>\n
MONEY MATTERS<\/strong> Parents and children ages 6 to 10 are invited to a free educational workshop called Parents, Kids and Money Matters Sunday, June 27 during the Sunday School hour. \u00a0The workshop is designed for parents and their children to help kids learn about money and values. \u00a0The Workshop is presented by Austin Rice, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans representative, and members of the congregation. \u00a0The workshop is free and no financial products will be sold. \u00a0For more information contact Austin Rice at 888-243-8225.<\/div>\n
SOFTBALL<\/strong> The co-ed team will play this Monday evening at 6:30. \u00a0The men\u2019s team will play this Tuesday evening at 7:30.<\/div>\n
OVER 50 GAME NIGHT<\/strong> Come join the over 50 gang for game night Thursday evening starting at 6:00. \u00a0Bring something to eat and join in the fun.<\/div>\n
LWML<\/a> CONVENTION<\/strong> The LWML MO District Convention is this weekend, June 11-13, in Springfield. \u00a0The theme of the convention is Beautiful Feet Led by God. \u00a0Lenora L. and Corinne W. are our delegates. \u00a0All the ladies of the congregation are welcome to go. \u00a0For more information contact Corinne W.<\/div>\n
KID KITS<\/strong> In the narthex are a number of bags containing crayons, coloring books, picture books and other items of interest for young children. \u00a0You are welcome to use them for your little ones. \u00a0Please return the \u201ckid kit\u201d after the service.<\/div>\n
BLOOD PRESSURE<\/strong> The opportunity to have your blood pressure taken and recorded after each service is available in the nurse\u2019s office located off the narthex. \u00a0You will be given a card to carry with you to record your readings.<\/div>\n
TAPES & CDS OF THE SERVICE<\/strong> Audio tapes and CDs of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday. \u00a0They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex. \u00a0The previous Sunday\u2019s are also available.<\/div>\n
ASSISTIVE LISTENING<\/strong> If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. \u00a0They work like a transistor radio and you control the volume.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
