JR CONFIRMATION TODAY<\/strong>\u00a0 Seven young folks will be confessing their faith publicly through the Rite of Confirmation during the late service today.\u00a0 They are:

MEMORIAL DAY<\/strong>\u00a0 On this Memorial Day weekend, we remember with gratitude those men and women that have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have today.<\/p>\n

CONGRATULATIONS<\/strong> to Gretchen N. and Todd B. who were united in marriage yesterday here at Good Shepherd.\u00a0 Gretchen is the daughter of John & Rhonda N.\u00a0 We pray for continued blessings for Gretchen & Todd as they begin their life as husband and wife.<\/p>\n

SOFTBALL<\/strong>\u00a0 The co-ed team\u2019s next game will be Monday evening, June 7th at 6:30.\u00a0 (No game this Monday, Memorial Day.)\u00a0 The men\u2019s team will play this Tuesday evening, June 1st, at 7:30.<\/p>\n

CHURCH STEEPLE<\/strong>\u00a0 Next Wednesday morning at 7:00, the professionals from American Steeples will be here to put up the church steeple.\u00a0 Help will not be needed, but you\u2019re more than welcome to come watch the process.\u00a0 To God be the Glory!<\/p>\n

ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION<\/strong>\u00a0 You are invited to join Kes & Betty K. as they celebrate their 58 years of marriage on June 6th, 2010.\u00a0 After a renewal of their wedding vows in the church sanctuary, you are invited to an open house reception in the Fellowship Hall from 2:30-4:30 pm., hosted by their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.\u00a0 No gifts, please.<\/p>\n

PICTORIAL DIRECTORY SIGN UP<\/strong>\u00a0 Saturday, June 5th, Tuesday, June 8th, and Sunday, June 13th, are the days set for taking pictures for the church directory.\u00a0 Sign up sheets are in the narthex next to the nurse\u2019s office.\u00a0 Please take note of the different times on each sheet.\u00a0 The photos will be taken here at the church by Rick C.<\/p>\n

KID KITS<\/strong>\u00a0 In the narthex are a number of bags containing crayons, coloring books, picture books and other items of interest for young children.\u00a0 You are welcome to use them for your little ones.\u00a0 Please return the \u201ckid kit\u201d after the service.<\/p>\n

BLOOD PRESSURE<\/strong>\u00a0 The opportunity to have your blood pressure taken and recorded after each service is available in the nurse\u2019s office located off the narthex.\u00a0 You will be given a card to carry with you to record your readings.<\/p>\n

TAPES & CDS OF THE SERVICE<\/strong>\u00a0 Audio tapes and CDs of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday.\u00a0 They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex.\u00a0 The previous Sunday\u2019s are also available.<\/p>\n

ASSISTIVE LISTENING<\/strong>\u00a0 If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.\u00a0 They work like a transistor radio and you control the volume.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
