NEW SUNDAY AM BIBLE CLASS<\/strong> We are starting a new study on the N.T. book of 2 Peter in the Sunday morning Bible class. It is a good time to join us if you have been thinking about coming. It starts at 9:30 am. Along with the study and fellowship, there is always a good cup of hot coffee and lots of goodies waiting for you.<\/p>\n

2010 OFFERING ENVELOPES<\/strong> The 2010 offering envelopes are ready to be picked up. If you do not see your name and want envelopes, please contact the church office. Likewise, if you prefer not to use them and see your name, simply write NO on the label. Please remember to discard your 2009 envelopes and use only the 2010 envelopes.<\/p>\n

2009 CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS<\/strong> will be handed out the next few weeks. Contact Barbara S. if you have any questions.<\/p>\n

THE CHURCH COUNCIL<\/strong> will meet this evening at 7:00 to set the agenda for the Voters\u2019 Meeting on January 31st. All elected officers and chairpersons of the various boards are members of the church council.<\/p>\n

(REPRINT FROM LAST WEEK) OUR THANKS<\/strong> to everyone who helped get our new pews here and who helped move our old ones out. It was a lot of work and we want you to know that you are appreciated. We will be doing additional work on the new pews as time allows. More on the pews later.<\/p>\n

THE FUTURE OF GSLC-OUR CHILDREN<\/strong> Help wanted. There will be a Christian education planning session this Wednesday evening at 5:30 pm. I\u2019d like to see all parents, teachers, volunteers, potential volunteers, and those with any ideas at the meeting. We\u2019ll try to work out a calendar for the year, including VBS. All input and ideas are welcome, and I promise you won\u2019t get roped into anything!

THE SHEPHERD\u2019S STRINGS DULCIMER<\/strong> group will meet this Thursday at 7:00 pm. Interested in learning to play? Dulcimers are available to purchase through the instructor at a reasonable price.<\/p>\n

MARK YOUR CALENDARS<\/strong> The first Voters\u2019 Meeting of 2010 will take place Sunday evening, January 31st, beginning at 7:00.<\/p>\n

FLOWER CHART<\/strong> If you would like to reserve a Sunday to place flowers at the altar in celebration of an event or in memory of a loved one, please put your name and phone number beside the appropriate Sunday on the Flower Chart found on the table in the narthex.<\/p>\n

BLOOD PRESSURE<\/strong> The opportunity to have your blood pressure taken and recorded after each service is available in the nurse\u2019s office located off the narthex. You will be given a card to carry with you to record your readings.<\/p>\n

TAPES OF THE SERVICE<\/strong> Audio tapes of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday. They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex. Tapes of the previous Sunday are also available.<\/p>\n

ASSISTIVE LISTENING<\/strong> If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
