\u2020\u00a0TEENS REACHING TEENS\u00a0 <\/b>Rachel E. will be leading a free training session \u2013 Teens Reaching Teens in the Digital Age \u2013\u00a0 for the youth in our congregation and churches in the surrounding area on Saturday, August 20.\u00a0\u00a0 There is an insert in the bulletin today with more information.<\/p>\n
\u2020\u00a0STEPHEN MINISTRY\u00a0 <\/b>As Earl has\u00a0reported in\u00a0the July\u00a0newsletter, Good Shepherd\u00a0will be hosting our second Stephen Ministry class this fall.\u00a0 This is open to all GSLC members and any other people that might be interested in this caregiving ministry.\u00a0 After the service on August\u00a014, several Stephen Ministers will be available\u00a0in the conference room to provide additional information and to answer questions about becoming a Stephen Minister. We encourage anyone interested in this ministry to stop in and learn more about this distinctively Christian caregiving ministry.<\/p>\n

\u2020\u00a0LUTHERAN NIGHT AT THE BALLGAME\u00a0 <\/b>Friday, August 12, is Lutheran Night with the Springfield Cardinals.\u00a0 The game starts at 7:10 pm and the ticket price is $9.00, which includes a Springfield Cardinals cap and post-game fireworks.\u00a0 If you would like to attend, there is a sign-up sheet in the narthex.\u00a0 The ticket money should to be given to Jim Garoutte no later than August 7.<\/p>\n
\u2020\u00a0BACK TO TWO SERVICES\u00a0 <\/b>Starting Sunday, September 4, we will return to our regular two services.\u00a0 Worship services will be at 8:15 and 10:45 am with Sunday School and Adult Bible Class at 9:30 am.<\/p>\n
\u2020\u00a0SUNDAY SCHOOL RALLY DAY <\/b>has been set for Sunday, August 28. There will be a balloon launch and a special activities during Sunday School.\u00a0 That evening, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, there will be a Rally Day Slumber Party with movies, games, and snacks.\u00a0 We won\u2019t actually sleep over (it\u2019s a school night) but feel free to come in your PJ\u2019s if you\u2019d like.<\/p>\n
