\u2020\u00a0LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF\u00a0 <\/b>This Lent season, our congregation is taking part in Lutheran World Relief\u2019s Baskets of Promise campaign.\u00a0 Each week in Lent, we will collect items to form LWR Personal Care Kits that help impoverished people stay healthy in life\u2019s most challenging situations.\u00a0 This Sunday we are collecting bars of soap.\u00a0 Next week we will be collecting bath towels (light weight, preferably dark color, and no larger than 52\u201d x 27\u201d).\u00a0 Please bring your donations to worship next Sunday.\u00a0 If you have any questions please contact Lora Wacker or Brenda Kirn.\u00a0 Thanks for your help with this project!<\/p>\n
\u2020\u00a0STEPHEN MINISTRY <\/b>\u00a0GSLC is planning a commissioning service for our first ever class of trained Stephen Ministers on Sunday, Feb. 21.\u00a0 These nine individuals will be equipped to serve as an embodiment of Christ\u2019s love to hurting persons in our church and community.\u00a0 Stephen Ministry of GSLC is now accepting referrals\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 concerning individuals who may benefit from this distinctively Christian, one-on-one, confidential care.\u00a0 If you are aware of anyone who is in distress because of illness, grief, changes in their life circumstances or any other of the hurts that occur in our earthly journey, please contact Janet Chambers, Earl Kirn, or Pastor Mackie.<\/p>\n
