\u2020\u00a0LYF FIREWORKS STAND\u00a0 <\/b>Good Shepherd\u2019s Youth Group will be\u00a0 running a fireworks stand at 1200 Briarbrook, across from Casey\u2019s, in Carl Junction, as a fundraiser for the 2016 National Youth Gathering.\u00a0 It will be open July 1 through July 4.\u00a0 There are flyers with coupons on the round table in the narthex.\u00a0 Please, take a flyer for yourself and take some to give to friends who may be interested.\u00a0 Come purchase all your fireworks here and help support our LYF!<\/p>\n
\u2020\u00a0VBS REGISTRATION\u00a0 <\/b>Vacation Bible School will be held July 26 – 30, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, with a light dinner at 5:30 pm each evening.\u00a0 There are registration forms on the round table in the narthex.\u00a0 Make sure to get registered soon, both workers and participants, because Nicole needs t-shirt sizes so she can order them.\u00a0 Also, there is a sign up sheet for food donations that are used to provided dinner each evening.<\/p>\n
\u2020\u00a0DIAPER SHOWER FOR THE T.’s\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0Sunday School has decided to host a diaper shower to help out the T. family with one of the expenses that goes along with having a new baby.\u00a0 The entire congregation is encouraged to participate.\u00a0 Please bring packages of disposable diapers, any size, and place them in the narthex until July 5.\u00a0 After that weekend the diapers will be delivered to the T’s.<\/p>\n
\u2020\u00a0TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME<\/b>\u00a0 There are two opportunities coming up this summer to see some baseball and hear The Shepherd\u2019s Own!\u00a0 On Sat., Aug. 1, the Shepherd\u2019s Own will be singing the National Anthem at an Arkansas Naturals\u2019 ballgame and on Fri., Aug. 7, they will be singing the National Anthem at Lutheran Night at the ballpark for a Springfield Cardinals\u2019 game.\u00a0 There are sign-up sheets on the information desk in the narthex for\u00a0 discounted tickets and deadlines for when the ticket money is due.\u00a0 Please, watch for your July newsletter for more info.\u00a0 Contact Jim G. if you have questions.<\/p>\n
